accessed by way of "4 Wheel Drive", or actually DeHaven Dr. The locals dubbed the road "4 Wheel" as it is recommended that you have
one at your disposal to reach these lots. Actually the road is greatly improved, and except for being a little on the steep side, it is in very
good condition. There are a couple of "switchbacks" in the road going up to make a little easier climb. I would hesitate going up the
mountain in ice or snow, and wet roads could cause a little anxiety on the way back down, but once you get to the top the views are
extraordinary, and it is quite peaceful.
You can try it on your own, but you may catch me on many weekends in Ritter's. I don't mind driving to the top. I can send you plats, but
the individual lots are not yet marked. I am meeting with Mr. Ritter within the next few weeks to determine location of each lot. Clinton Ritter
is also willing to owner finance at reasonable terms. All lots are priced at $4,000 per acre. The MLS# is HS5425025, and the price will
show as $20,000, referencing the 5 acre lots. Park & road maintenance dues apply to each lot, at approximately $350. annually. NO Hoa.
Directions to "4 Wheel Drive": From Capon Bridge, W.Va., (and the bridge on the outskirts of town) drive 2 miles on Rt.50 towards
Romney. Make a left on Dilllons Run Rd., drive 3.5 miles and make a left on Loudoun Dr., into Ritter's Hidden Valley. Stay on Loudoun at
the first fork (to your right). This deadends on Old Mill Road. Make a left. Drive approximately 2 miles staying on this main road (Old Mill).
When you come to the Bass Lake on your right (and the wooded covered bridge next to it) you have just missed DeHaven Dr. on your left
(4-Wheel Dr.) There may be a wooden sign nailed to a tree, pointing out that this is DeHaven Dr. Don't stop until you get to the top, and
drive beyond the power lines to see the views that are possible. There is one little area of that first climb that is fairly steep. Just make sure
you have decent brakes for the trip back down!
